Dr. Tempinski’s specialty is the treatment process. She specializes in uncovering, understanding, and treating the causes of troubling emotional symptoms:
| | "It is important to recognize that although one’s symptoms certainly feel like “the problem”, symptoms are often actually secondary to their causes. Causes typically involve underlying turmoil, conflict, and/or difficult, unresolved feelings." | |
The treatment process is one of the client and therapist, together, coming to understand the reasons for the client’s struggles. This involves a process of looking inward, using the therapist as a trusted helper. In Dr. Tempinski’s experience, it is the client-therapist relationship that ultimately becomes the primary vehicle of change.
We are all generally amazingly resilient beings, but sometimes our emotional distress lingers for months or even years. When this happens, difficulties can have a ripple effect, detrimentally influencing many aspects of our lives…including our health.
If you have been struggling with one or more of the following difficulties, you might want to consult with a psychologist to explore the causes and possible solutions:
| | Depression or poor self-esteem | | Insomnia | | Sexual difficulties or concerns | | Lack of energy or zest for life | | Anxiety or panic symptoms | | Relationship problems | | Society anxiety | | Unexplained physical symptoms |
We all deserve to feel our best. When we don’t, it is because there are interferences. Dr. Tempinski has more than 25 years experience working with adults to appreciate and resolve these interferences through psychotherapy.
